How to engage students in doing things for others? Voluntary work is a good idea. It must be remembered, however, that the main challenge in this kind of undertakings is to keep volunteers motivated. The initial enthusiasm gradually decreases, especially when problems arise. The teacher has to discuss student obligations with the children, analyse potential problems and ways of dealing with them.
