When we design a new building or want to introduce changes in the existing structures, we have to take into account many factors that potentially support learning.
Which factors have a positive impact on student results? It is worth adopting the practical approach to educational spaces presented by the authors of the “Optimal Learning Spaces Design Implications for Primary Schools” report. In this document, several dozen factors influencing the quality of primary school learning spaces are analysed.
The authors wanted to find optimal solutions for learning space organisation. They proposed three groups of factors that influence the comfort of students and the quality of learning: naturalness, individualisation, and level of stimulation.
